ANNOTATED COMPUTER TUTORIAL AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS

It is suggested that you complete these tutorials in the order given.  An immense amount of essential insight awaits you.

  1. Windows XP Tour – This fun, easy, and informative tour will supplement and continue our exercises in Class.  Become familiar with its contents.

    Steps to access tour:  Click on Start, Help and Support, What’s New In Windows XP, Taking

    tour  tutorial, Take the Windows XP tour, Next.

    To EXIT the tour click on the large X at the lower  right  hand corner of the screen.

  1. Microsoft Interactive Training – This very thorough and easy to use tutorial will demonstrate the basics of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint.  Our primary area of interest will be Word.  Take All sections and the quizzes.  You may take these sections at your own pace and schedule.  As you gain knowledge, open up a blank document and try the things you’ve learned – it will help reinforce the knowledge.

        Steps to access tutorials:  Click on Start, All Programs, Microsoft Interactive, Microsoft Interactive
       (the yellow pencil entry), Ok – no password is needed.  OPTIONALLY, you may click on the little
       brown pencil icon on your desktop which is the shortcut to Microsoft Interactive Training.

** Additional Excellent ResourceMicrosoft Office Inside / Out: This 1582 page book is in electronic format on your computer.  Click on Start, All Programs, Microsoft Press, Microsoft Office XP Inside Out Book.  Check it out!

  1. Internet Tutorials Online:  These tutorials developed by Universities for their students are excellent ways to get acquainted with the INTERNET!
